Managing Cough, Cold & Fever the Ayurvedic Way

Every change of season brings the same queue of complaints: blocked nose, scratchy throat, wet or dry cough, and low-grade fever. Ayurveda treats these by the stage and the dosha involved — and most simple cases respond beautifully to herbs started early.
A practical picking guide: • Wet cough with mucus — Kufrip Forte or Kufrip-Plus; both ease expectoration and bronchial spasm without sedation • Cough in diabetics — Kufrip-SF, the sugar-free version • Running nose, body ache, viral flu — Flurex tablets, three times a day • Fever with body pain — Fevernid, the anti-pyretic herbal tablets • Infant colic and wind alongside a cold — Gripe Water after feeds
Rest, warm fluids and steam do the rest. If fever crosses three days, breathlessness appears, or cough lasts beyond two weeks, get examined — herbs are for simple, self-limiting episodes.
